About Homzie

Homzie is a household app for iPhone (iOS 16+) and Android that helps couples, roommates, families and singles organize everyday life together: calendar, tasks, shopping lists and meals in one place, synced across every device in the household.

How Homzie came about

Homzie didn't start as a startup idea. It started with a very ordinary wish from my mother. She wanted one central place to plan the family's meals, where everyone could say yes or no with a single tap. No more asking around who would be home for dinner, and no more cooking for everyone when half the family wasn't even at the table.

So I built her exactly that app. It worked, and as soon as meals were sorted, the next questions came up: When is everyone actually home? What's missing from the fridge? Whose turn is it to clean the bathroom this week? With each of those questions the app grew a little, feature by feature: a shared calendar, shopping lists that sync in real time, and chores that rotate automatically.

That's how a small meal planner for my family turned into today's Homzie: an app for the whole household, for families as much as for couples, roommates and singles. The idea behind it hasn't changed since day one: less to keep track of, more time together.

What is free

Calendar, tasks with automatic rotation and shared shopping lists are free, with no ads. Meal planning, recipes, Google or Apple calendar sync and supermarket mode are part of the optional Homzie Pro subscription. One subscription covers the whole household.

Your data is encrypted in the cloud and only accessible to your household members. We never sell data to third parties. Details are in the privacy policy.
